Like most parents, I have a story or two about making a healthy meal for my child only to have him or her refuse to eat it. Don't give up, though! This kind of thing happens all the time.

Kids often don't know what to think about "new" foods. It can be scary for them to just put a food in their mouths that they have never tried before. And, yes, food does taste different to kids than it does to adults. When we are young, we like sweet and salty foods more than bitter ones. But as we grow up, our tastes change, which means that even if your child doesn't like some vegetables at first, that could change.

Is it possible to get your child to try less sweet and less salty foods, like vegetables, though? I say absolutely yes. kids cooking party ideas

I've found that the best way to get kids to like vegetables is to get them used to them long before they eat them. I have a few fun ideas for how to do this, which I'll tell you about in a moment. But you should also know that it's important to keep giving your child vegetables to try, and to change how you give them to them. Make sure to praise your child a lot whenever he or she does something good. Also, you should never force your child to eat something they don't want to. Mealtime will be a good time for the whole family if you can get your child interested in new things and make it fun to try new foods.
